Global Village

The Global Village is an open air "fair" that runs Nov. to Feb. each year in Dubai. It opens at 4pm each day and runs very late into the night. Every country has it's own displays of items for sale. It is really just a large shopping event along with a large outdoor food court and an amusement park. You could be there all evening and still only hit half of it!
Mom and I went on our first evening in Dubai.
The walkways were wide and the darker the evening got the more crowded they became.
Inside Iran looking at a spice shop.
The entrance into the United Arab Emirates.
Inside India a carnival ride for the children!
More inside India.
So much shopping! Mom did lots of her souvenirs here,
including a very cool rug for my brother!
The Village was set up on two sides of a man made river, complete with bridges to cross over.
Most of the countries displays had beautiful exteriors.
If you are ever in Dubai in the late fall and early winter don't miss the Global Village!
